PoliFormPlast company provides the complex approach while working with customers, from working out a drawing and a mathematical model of a product to press molds (stamping tools) manufacturing, further cast molding (die stamping), and assembly of products.

Prior to engineering of tooling in  the engineering department  the following preliminary work is completed:  a technologist looks through the drawings in order to specify if it is technologically effective to produce a product by the offered method. Correctness of the chosen of material is estimated taking into consideration working conditions, dimensions, specified dimensions limits, technological characteristics in processing and costs of material. In order to simplify design and to reduce its cost the engineer and the technologist together work out the issue of how to change complicated elements of the product. Finally we give to our customers variants of improving the product and agree this issue with him.

Engineering of tooling includes several stages:

  • Engineering of a 3D-model of a product. Source information for modeling can be: a product sample, its drawing or a sketch. At the customer’s will several different variants of making a product can be offered. Using a 3D-model we do the visual estimation, consensus building, design conformation with the customer, and begin working out the construction of a press mold.
  • Technological working out of a product:
    • for a stamped part – manufacturing technology, specifying the construction and the operations sequence;
    • for a molded part – choosing a material, optimization of a gating system;
  • Working out the construction of a press mold and stamping tool;
  • Filing the engineering documentation for the tooling;
  • Conformation of the engineering documentation with a custome.


The unified elements of press molds are laid in the construction of tooling. It allows to the workshop:

  • To diminish terms of press mold manufacturing because the biggest part of time, as a rule, is spent not for processing of press mold shaping elements but for blanking, lathe, drilling and boring operations;
  • To diminish labor intensity because in order to manufacture for example a tube push bar, you need to have special equipment and plenty of time;
  • To improve quality and endurance of press molds, as the quality of unified elements produced by companies which specialize in this area is much higher than of the same elements, which are produced by enterprises themselves, through sticking to the full manufacturing technology, using steel of high quality, modern equipment, precision tool and special control methods.
